Maxim is a sincere patriot of his country, he loves it and wishes it victory, renewal and prosperity. The painting is a dedication to the history of the freedom-loving people of Ukraine and its courage, which is personified by the Zaporozhian Cossacks. From time immemorial, the image of a Cossack-bandurist has been the embodiment of resistance and spiritual values of Ukrainians. In the picture you can see other symbols and images that are symbolically and associatively connected with the culture, art, history and mentality of the Ukrainian people. Such paintings were often handed down as a symbol of strength and a talisman for future generations. The same idea is embedded in this work - to become an embodiment of the fight against the enemy and evil, to be a reminder of our inner stability, courage, and indomitability.
